Anime Pulp

Welcome to the new Anime Pulp!

A lot has been going on recently. We’re currently moving around the country, busy with work, and just trying to figure life out. Hopefully with the move to tumblr we will continue giving our listeners quality podcast episodes.

It all started during the summer of 2008 when three online friends (Nam, Ryan, and Ging) decided to make a podcast. Annoyed by the current state of bad anime, we wanted our voices heard. We wanted to talk about anime as art rather than mindless mass-produced cartoons for kids. We criticize anime we thought as unoriginal, uninspiring, or just plain boring. We laugh at the horrible anime of the past (the so-bad-it’s-good category).

At the same time, we reflected on our own views, constantly learning about the art form and refining our views. There were arguments between us whether or not a certain films or tv series were deemed good. Throughout the years we changed the format of the show, making the show more focused or to save time on editing. 

We’re happy to say that Anime Pulp will strive to stay alive and provide great reviews. Anime Pulp is currently in the process of moving some parts of the old websites over.
